The project consisted of three main elements: the oval tower with 131 high-specification private apartments, a connecting five-storey affordable homes building, and an 11-storey hotel showcasing the flexibility of the Vision Volumetric system.
Oval in plan, it required a number of different-shaped 3D units, up to 3.9m wide and 10.5m long, and with angled outer walls.
These were placed around an 8.2m × 6.8m concrete slip-formed core, which had been constructed in advance. A neat innovation was the design of the integral balcony structure, which doubled as the scaffolding during construction.
